Farmers are legally obliged to enter into a farmers' civil liability insurance agreement. Farmers' civil liability insurance covers the civil liability of a farmer and any person who, while working on a farm during the coverage period of the insurance, caused damage in connection with the farmer's property.
The farm buildings are protected against fire and other fortuitous events. In case of damages inflicted by natural disasters or fortuitous events the insurer should pay compensation for za destroyed or damaged building.
In the case of insurance of agricultural crops against the risk of damage caused by hail, flood, negative effects of wintering or spring frosts, the farmer should receive an adequate financial compensation from the insurer for crops lost due to weather anomalies.
